What your first 30 days look like
If you have been burned before, the scariest part of starting with someone new is not knowing what actually happens after you say yes. So here is the plain version. No mystery, no black box. This is what the first 30 days of working with me look like.
A lot of contractors have signed up with a marketing company before and then sat in the dark, not sure what was being done or whether anything was happening at all. I want the opposite of that. The first month should feel clear and concrete, with real things getting built and real numbers to look at. Here is how it goes.
It starts with competitor research
Before I build anything, I look at who you are up against. I go through your competitors' websites and their Google profiles to see what they are doing, where they are strong, and where there is an opening for you. This happens before or during the build, so what I put together for you is informed by the actual market you are competing in, not a generic template. You should be positioned against the people you are really fighting for jobs with, not against nobody.
Website live first, then the Google Business Profile
The website goes live first. It is the foundation everything else points to, so getting it up is the early priority rather than something that drags on for months. Alongside that, I update your Google Business Profile, because for a local contractor that profile is often doing as much work as the website itself. Within the first stretch, the two pieces that customers actually see and act on are in place and working.
You should be able to point at real things getting done. A website that is live. A Google Business Profile that is updated. Data you can log into. The first 30 days are not a planning deck, they are a foundation going in the ground.
Watching the data, every week
Once things are live, I check Search Console and Analytics once or twice a week. That is where I see where your traffic is coming from and what to improve next. It keeps the work honest and tied to real numbers, from tools you can log into yourself, instead of a monthly report you have to take on faith. If something is working, I do more of it. If something is not, I can see it quickly and adjust, rather than finding out months later.
Why it's built this way
The order is deliberate. Research first so the build is aimed at the right target. Website and profile next because those are what customers see and act on. Then weekly data so nothing runs blind. It is designed to get you something real fast, and to keep you in the loop with numbers you can actually check. That is the whole point: no sitting in the dark, wondering if anything is happening.
Want to know exactly what your first month would look like?
I will walk you through it for your specific business: what I would research, what I would build first, and the numbers I would watch. No black box, no long contract. Let's talk.
